Ga Traditional Council thanks God for safety of Kufuor

Accra, Nov. 16, GNA – The Ga Traditional Council in conjunction with its sub-chiefs and queen mothers on Friday expressed gratitude to God for saving President John Agyekum Kufuor from death in last Wednesday’s motor accident in Accra.

A statement signed by Mr Andrew Awuni, press secretary to the president, said this was contained in a goodwill message to the president.

It said the Council praised God for the “miraculous deliverance” of the president and for saving the country from a near national tragedy. The presidential convoy with President John Agyekum Kufuor on board was on Wednesday involved in an accident on the Airport-37 Military Hospital Road, but he escaped unhurt. “The Ga Traditional Council wished President Kufuor well and prayed that the good Lord continued to protect and guard him and the country.” The statement said goodwill messages continue to pour in from all over the world to President Kufuor.
