Ga North MP presents furniture to schools

Amasaman (G/A), Nov. 30, GNA – Mr. Ernest Atuquaye Armah, the Member of Parliament of the National Democratic Congress, for Ga South, now Trobu-Amasaman Constituency, on Monday presented 300 dual desks, worth 90 million cedis to the Ga District Education Service at Amasaman. The desks would be distributed to various schools in the District. Mr. Atuquaye Armah appealed to parents and guardians to send their children who are of school-going age to school, to enable them become useful citizens in future.

He said he had committed 50 million cedis of his share of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund to establish a scholarship scheme for 25 brilliant but needy children.

Mr. Atuquaye Armah said he had also constructed a six-classroom block with office and a store for the Mpehoasem community in the Gonnor Electoral Area to enhance teaching and learning.

Ms Victoria Opoku, District Director of Education, who received the offer commended the MP for his numerous assistance package in support of educational pursuit in the area.
