Fun Club donates to Nkoranza Municipal Assembly

A welfare and business organisation under the name ‘God is Love Fun Club’ has donated farming implements worth GH? 2,500.00 to the Nkoranza Municipal Assembly to support the Municipality’s just-ended Farmers Day programme.

The items comprised 60 pieces of cutlasses, six knapsack spraying machines, 20 pieces of wax print and five pairs of Wellington Boots.

Mr Owusu Gambrah, Chairman of the Club told Ghana News Agency in an interview at Donkro-Nkwanta in Brong-Ahafo Region where the Municipality’s Farmers’ Day was held.

Mr Gambrah said the donation was to encourage farmers in the area to produce more food for the Municipality in particular and the country as a whole and also to relieve the Assembly of its financial burden in the provision of development projects.

He said the Club had its headquarters at Breman, a suburb of Kumasi with branches in Techiman, Berekum and Nkoranza in Brong-Ahafo Region.

He said the Club supports brilliant but needy students with cash and exercise books to encourage them in their educational pursuits. It also provides financial assistance for the upkeep of widows and orphans.
