Fuel dealer charged for defilement

Tema, Oct. 29, GNA – A 19-year-old fuel dealer at Ashaiman has been remanded by the Tema circuit Court “B” for defiling a 13-year-old girl. Abdul Aziz Innusa, who pleaded not guilty, will reappear on November 2, 2004.

Prosecuting, DSP Robert Aganiba told the court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye that, on September 8, 2004, the parents of the victim detected some abnormality in her walking and questioned her about it. She (victim) revealed that on August 26, at 2000 hours, she was sent on an errand by one Kofi, on the way, she was lured by the accused into his kiosk at the fuel station, which is opposite the complainant’s chop bar at Ashaiman and instructed her (victim) to lay on a dark bed, which she refused.

DSP Aganiba said the accused then forcibly pulled her down, removed her panties and had sex with her.

He said the accused gave her 5,000 cedis and warned her not to disclose the incident to anybody. A report was made to the police, who issued her with a medical form to attend hospital. 29 Oct. 04
