Ghana Premier League side Nations FC have confirmed the appointment of veteran coach Frimpong Manso as their new head coach, following the departure of Kasim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant, Johnson Smith.
Manso will be joined by Aboagye Dacosta, who takes up the role of assistant coach as the Abrankese-based club seeks to revive its faltering campaign.
In an official statement, the club said:
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Frimpong Manso as Head Coach and Aboagye Dacosta as his Assistant.”
The former Ghana international returns to Premier League management just weeks after parting ways with Bibiani GoldStars, whom he guided to their first-ever Ghana Premier League title last season.
His arrival at Nations FC comes at a crucial time, the club has managed only two wins in seven matches this season, leaving them languishing in the lower half of the table.
Manso, known for his tactical discipline and experience, is expected to bring stability and renewed energy to the squad. His first test will come this weekend when Nations FC host Bechem United in a must-win clash on Matchday 8.
The 59-year-old coach’s return marks yet another chapter in an illustrious coaching career that has seen him mentor several Ghanaian clubs and national youth teams.
Supporters will be hoping his trademark calm leadership and winning mentality can steer the team back to form and restore confidence at the club’s Abrankese base.
