Friends of President Mahama movement formed at Nkoranza South Constituency

Some activists of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Nkoranza South Constituency in Brong-Ahafo Region, have formed a movement named: “Friends of President John Dramani Mahama” to canvass for votes for him in the 2012 elections.

Mr. Richard Opoku-Donyina, Interim Coordinator, addressing a maiden meeting at Nkoranza on Wednesday, said they toured other constituencies in the Region to propagate achievements of the NDC and vision of President Mahama to the electorate and form more branches.

“We express our appreciation to the good works and efforts of the late President John Evans Atta Mills. It is important that people support his successor President Mahama to win Election 2012.”

Mr. Opoku-Donyina urged the NDC youth in the Region to maintain their loyalty with the party and not to allow themselves to be deceived by other political parties into their fold.

He commended the NDC Government for initiating development projects in the Nkoranza South Municipality within the past three-and-a-half years and Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive for his hard work and leadership role.

Other interim executives elected were, Mr. Solomon Gyabaah, Secretary, Mr. Frank Boateng, Organiser, Mr. Maxwell Effah, Assistant Organiser and Mr. Doe Nyantor, Director of Operations.

In another development, members of Lordina Mahama Fan Club, an NDC Women’s wing, formed at Nkoranza to encourage the First Lady in her political activities, have intensified their efforts to win more votes for the party.
