French ship to visit Ghana

Accra, Jan. 14, GNA – A French navy ship, Ouragan, would pay a routine six-day visit to Ghana from Wednesday, January 19 to boost ties between the two countries.

A statement from the French Embassy in Accra on Friday said the ship would dock at the Tema Port January 19 and depart on January 24. The statement said the purpose of the visit was to reinforce the existing ties between the French and Ghanaian navies and establish closer links with the people.

It said a medical team of the ship in collaboration with their Ghanaians counterparts from the 37 Military Hospital would provide free care to patients at Dawhenya in the Greater Accra Region on January 20.
