French Minister for Cooperation arrives

Accra, June 16, GNA – The French Minister of State in-charge of Cooperation and Francophone Development, Mr Xavier Darcos arrived in Accra on Tuesday evening for a two-day official visit.

While in the country, Mr Darcos would hold talks with President John Agyekum Kufuor; interact with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Regional Cooperation and NEPAD, Public Services Reform and National Institutional Renewal Programme.

Mr Darcos would also hold talks with Dr Richard Anane, Minister of Roads and Transport on the rehabilitation of urban roads including the construction of an interchange over the Accra Tema-Motorway, financed by Agence Francaise de Development.

At the Airport to meet him were Mr Jean Michel Birrit, Ambassador of France, Mr Patrick Cohae, First Councillor at the Embassy of the Republic of France and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
