French international music day celebrated in Kumasi

Kumasi, June 26, GNA – A music day, which was performed by “Black Prophet”, a Ghanaian musician of an international fame, was at the weekend held at the Alliance Francaise in Kumasi. The day, organised by the Alliance Francaise of Kumasi in collaboration with the French Embassy in Ghana, is a day set aside to celebrate the International Music Festival held in France each year.

The celebration is meant among others to promote music as an expression of collective joy and entertainment among all categories of people.

Opening it, Mr Olivier Benoit, Director of the Alliance Francaise of Kumasi, said the day is celebrated at all French cultural centres and at the Alliance Francaise educational centres worldwide. He expressed his satisfaction at the attendance and hoped people will not only enjoy themselves but will also learn from the French culture.
