Free SHS campaign will build confidence in Ghanaians – Abraham Attah

To create awareness and assure Ghanaians that government’s promise to assist students financially through the Free SHS system will be realized, this is the sole motive behind the campaign and walk organized by Free SHS ambassador, Abraham Attah.

The program organized in collaboration with E On 3 Group and the Ministry of Education saw the award-winning movie star lead hundreds of youth in a walk from the Accra Mall to the Aviation Social Centre. Flyers among other things containing information about the policy were distributed as they moved along the streets.

Speaking on the sidelines of the walk, Abraham Attah said: “Today’s walk is to create more awareness about the Free SHS, to walk on the streets for people to know that the Free SHS is going to come on”.

According to Abraham, the importance of the Free SHS policy is for people in the deprived areas who have no or very little support, to have the opportunity to further their Senior High School education and improve their lives.

Abraham Attah was selected as the ambassador by government to spearhead the campaign on sensitizing the public about the ‘Free Senior High School’ project and also to be a role model to his peers and encourage young people to buy into the idea of the project.
