“Free Press” Tried To Silence Me – NUGs Prez

The President of National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS). Mr. Edward Omane Boamah has noted that, allegations of financial embezzlement against him is intended to silence him, in his quest to put government on its toes.

Speaking to Peace fm on Friday, the NUGS President threatened as legal action against the Free Press Newspaper which published the said story, saying that, it was a defamatory one to his personal character.

According to the Free Presss story, Mr. Omane Boamah is alleged to have embezzled an amount of ?20 million which was meant for the organization of an ECOWAS Parliament by the West African Students Unions.

Mr. Omane Boamah has stated that, the union will come out appropriately to rebuff the publication, since the publication had nothing to do with the GETFund which has been linked to it.
