Four years is too short for Mahama – Sylvester Mensah

The Greater Accra Regional campaign coordinator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Sylvester Mensah, (NDC), has likened the achievements of President John Dramani Mahama to that of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

According to him, Dr. Nkrumah is the only past president who can match the achievements of the current president and pleaded with Ghanaians to extend his mandate.

Addressing the media in Accra on Wednesday about the achievement of the current NDC government, the former National Health Insurance Authority boss admitted that the business of nation building is a very difficult task and expressed the opinion that four years is too short a time to enable a performing president to achieve what he has set out to do.”

He further added that the Greater Accra Region has seen massive development projects under the current government which, according to him, demonstrates that government is committed to developing the country.

“A second term for a president who has fully demonstrated that he is up to the task of nation building is therefore perfectly in order to enable him to bring his police, programmes and projects fully to mature,” he said.
