Four women win farmers’ award in New Juaben

Jumapo (E/R), Dec 3, GNA – Fifteen distinguished farmers in the New Juaben Municipality including four women were adjudged as best farmers in various crops at this year’s Farmers’ Day celebration held on Friday at Jumapo.

The best farmer in the Municipality was Mr Bernard Alavanyo, who has 72 acres of teak plantation, 10 acres of maize, five acres of citrus, five acres of oil palm, one acre each of nut meg, pepper, okro and plantain and then 30 sheep, 30 goats and over 140 local and hybrid fowls.
