Four suspected robbers arrested by the Bibiani Police

A Police patrol team in the early hours of Thursday, nabbed four suspected robbers when it intercepted an unregistered BMW salon car they were using at the outskirts of Dominibo Number One near Bibiani.

Their names were given as Emmanuel Owusu Ampaabeng, 31, a computer electrician; Jafaru Boakye, 24; Kwaku Kyei, 25; and Kofi Oduro, 38. All the four are drivers.

Superintendent Francis Enor, the Bibiani Police Commander, who confirmed the arrest to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said a locally made pistol, one toy pistol, nylon rope, two cutlasses and nine cellular phones were seized from them.

He said the team was on routine night patrol when they spotted the car parked on the outskirt of the town at about 0300 hours. They became suspicious and moved in on them.

Superintendent Enor said the suspects were now being held and would be arraigned immediately they completed their investigations.

He pledged the determination of the Police to carry the fight to criminals in the society to enable the law abiding to live in peace and security.

He advised miscreants to reform since it was in their own interest.
