Four sitting NDC MPs win primaries

Sunyani (B/A) Jan. 23, GNA – Four sitting MPs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Brong Ahafo maintained their positions, two by popular acclamation, to contest in the December elections in the party’s primaries held at the weekend.

The polls held at the various constituencies under the supervision of officials of the Electoral Commission (EC), Alhaji Collins Dauda, Minister of Transport and Mr. Yaw Effah-Baafi, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, received the nod in Asutifi South and Kintampo South respectively, by popular acclamation.

Mr. Samuel Justice Adjei, regional NDC secretary, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani on Monday, said the elections went on smoothly in all the constituencies.
