Four schools inaugurated in Ajumako District

Ajumako (C/R), Mar. 4, GNA- The Central Regional Minister, Mr Isaac Edumadze on Wednesday inaugurated four new school buildings in four communities in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District at Awordo in the Central Region

They are the Besease Methodist primary, Awordo D/A primary, Breman Essiam T.I Ahmadiya Primary, and Etsii Fawomanye Methodist primary. The four projects, estimated at 780 million cedis, were constructed under the partnership of beneficiary communities and the district assembly, and the USAID/QUIPS.

The district, which won the second position in completing its projects, was presented with 34 million cedis to be shared among the four schools to undertake other projects such as teachers’ quarters, toilets, and for the provision of furniture and books.

In an address, Mr Isaac Edumadze, who is also the MP for area, appealed to prominent citizens from the district to sponsor the education of needy children and thanked the management of the QUIPS and the communities for completing the projects on time.

Mr Kenneth Obempong the District Chief Executive commended the communal spirit of beneficiary communities whose efforts have paved the way for other communities to benefit.

He assured the people that the District Assembly was ready to support any initiated community projects.

Mr Yaw Stephen Manu, QUIPS director said he hoped the provision of the buildings would enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the area.
