Four Samahu accident victims in stable condition.

Samahu, Dec. 16,GNA-Four teenage pupils of the Richard Greame School near Samahu who were knocked down by an Opel Vectra with registration number AS 113 G are in a stable condition at the ABA Goldfields Hospital.

They are; Vida Oppong, 15, Joyce Ayensu, 14 years, Comfort Arthur, 14 and one other who is yet to be identified is still in intensive care. A fifth victim Janet Arhin, 12, was treated and discharged on yester= day at the Tarkwa government hospital where she was an in-patient.

A hospital source told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the children=

were rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and one of them had t= o be rushed to the theatre for a life saving surgery.

The source said they are now stable but they needed to be observed f= or a while since they sustained various degrees of injuries on the head, fac= e, hands and legs.

It would be recalled that at around 1320 hours, an Opel Astra car wi= th registration number AS 113G from Bogoso and heading towards Tarkwa was attempting to overtake a KIA truck and in the process run into the school=

children who were walking along the Tarkwa-Bogoso main road and later crashed into a house near the Samahu Community Centre. 16 Dec.10
