Four revenue officers interdicted

Half-Assini (W/R), July 23, GNA- Four officers of the revenue section of the Jomoro District Assembly have been interdicted for allegedly stealing 43 million cedis belonging to the assembly. The names of the officers, whose interdiction was ordered by Mr. Joseph Aidoo, the Regional Minister, are being withheld. Mr Kojo Armah, acting District Chief Executive, who said this at the assembly’s second ordinary meeting at Half-Assini on Tuesday, said the amount was revenue from the assembly’s krall for April and May, this year, following an audit investigation. Mr Armah advised assembly members and staff of the assembly in particular to be wary of the assembly’s finances and how they are managed.
