Four people electrocuted to death at a carpentry workshop

Nkawkaw, July 17, GNA – Four persons were, on Friday, electrocuted to death at a carpentry workshop at Nkawkaw during torrential rains that lasted for more than five hours.

The dead include, Kwabena Ofosu, 24, Yaw Odei, 26, both carpenters, one Kwabena, 27, who visited a friend at the workshop and Richard Obour, 29, a vulganizer.

A police source told the GNA at Nkawkaw that one of the electrical machines at the shop was left in the rain and the deceased were sent to go and retrieve it but they were instantly electrocuted when they tried to take it.

The bodies of the four have been sent to the Kwahu Government Hospital, at Atibie, for autopsy while the police are investigating the incident
