Four people were killed and several others injured in a gun attack at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) office in Garu, Upper East Region.
The attack occurred when four armed men on two motorcycles stormed the NHIA premises and opened fire on bystanders, later fleeing the scene while firing sporadically.
Garu District Chief Executive, John Abaare, confirmed the incident, and police investigations are currently underway to determine the motive behind the attack.
No arrests have been made yet, but authorities are working to identify the perpetrators.
However, the recent attack’s motive remains unclear, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
