Four in police grips for stabbing boy, 19

Four persons are in the grips of the Ho Police in the Volta region for allegedly stabbing to death a 19-year-old tailor-apprentice.

The suspects are said to have laid ambush on Wisdom Amu around the Ho Sports Stadium, when he was returning from the 59th Independence Day celebrations at Jubilee Park last Sunday.

An uncle of the deceased, Dr. Winfred Naccortsey, told Starr News, his nephew was stabbed below the left breast by one of the four young men during a scuffle.

He said bystanders who went to the scene to intervene what started as a fight, found Amu unconscious with the knife stab and rushed him to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Starr News gathered three of the attackers were, however, arrested at the scene by some
bystanders and sent to the Central police station, while the fourth suspect was later arrested on Monday and are assisting in investigations.
