Four die in road crash

Four persons died on the spot when a Metro Mass Transit bus and a saloon car had a head-on-collision at Kelijine on the Yendi to Tamale road in the Northern Region.

Three male and one female who were in the saloon car, with the registration number GE 756-10 from Yendi to Tamale, died when the vehicle crashed with the bus with registration number GS 3244-12 traveling from Tamale to Kpandai.

The bodies of the dead have been sent to the Yendi Municipal Hospital mortuary, and the bus driver who collapsed is receiving treatment at the hospital.

Mr Issa Zakari, Municipal Chief Executive who was at the scene of the accident told the Ghana News Agency that the occupants of the saloon car were electronic dealers who came to him to transact business.
