Four dead in fatal Suhum accident

Four passengers are feared dead in a fatal accident near Suhum in the Eastern region while several others are seriously injured.

The gory accident occurred Sunday evening.

According to an eyewitness, a V8 vehicle with registration number GW 9270-Z from Accra travelling to Kumasi crashed with a Sprinter passenger Vehicle with registration number AS 2389-13 from Kumasi to Accra.

According to the witness, the driver of the V8 vehicle lost control of the steering wheel after a burst tyre colliding with the Sprinter vehicle killing four people on the spot.

He said several other passengers with serious degrees of injuries have been rushed to the Suhum Government Hospital.

Police officers from the Suhum Municipal Police Command rushed to the scene to retrieve and convey the victims to the Hospital.

The Suhum Municiapl Police Commander, Superintendent Yaaya Muchiraru confirmed the accident but added that data for the victims and the deceased are being taken hence cannot confirm the number of persons who have died and injured.
