Four centres record 66 cases of lost voters’ ID cards

Brakwa (C/R), March 21, GNA – On the third day of the Electoral Commission’s exercise to replace lost, defaced or destroyed voters’ identification cards, its officials at Brakwa in the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa District have recorded 66 cases. Replacement centres the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited included Abrodease, Ohenbronso, Akobea and SCMB. At Abrodease, the replacement officer, Mr Benjamin Abaidoo Ayin, said 13 voters, including five females had registered to have their cards replaced. Mr Albert Dzinado, replacement officer at Ohenbronso, said his outfit registered 23 cases. At Ankobea, Mr Prosper Ahoyo stated that the centre recorded 22 cases of missing cards while Madam Theresa Achenie in-charge of SCMB also recorded eight cases. Madam Achenie noted that the low figures being recorded revealed that the electorate there were taking good care of their cards, especially the women.
