Elmina, Nov. 20, GNA-Dr. Joseph Annan, Member of Parliament for the Komenda-Edina-
Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) on Thursday presented 360 desks and chairs valued at GH¢9660.00 to
four basic schools in the area. The beneficiary schools are Komenda M/A which received 180 sets of t= he furniture, Edina
Bantoma M/A 120, Dwabo M/A and Sehwi M/A 40 each. Presenting them on behalf of Dr. Annan who is also the deputy Minist= er for Education, Mr.
Charles Entsuah, special assistant to the Minister, said they were purcha= sed through the GET
Fund in response to an appeal made by the schools’ authorities to the Minister during a tour to
the area. At Edina Bantoma, Mr. Emmanuel Awudi, headmaster of the school, than= ked the MP and
said the lack of furniture compelled them to run the school which has a population of 240 pupils
in two shifts.
