Former President Rawlings In London

Ghana’s former of Head of State Ex-President Flt Jerry John Rawlings is on a two day visit to the UK at the invitation of the South Bank University Student’s Union to give a lecture on Empowerment and Emancipation to mark the annual celebration of Black History Month. Flt Jerry John Rawlings presided over the government of Ghana lasting almost 20 years.

The former Head of State of Ghana, while in London took the opportunity to offer an exclusive interview to BEN TV (sky channel 148) UK’s leading African TV channel.

During the Interview Jerry John Rawlings acknowledged that his regime attempted to address corruption in Ghana by the spilling of blood but had failed to achieve their mark. He further accused the leaders of the world in particular African leaders of ruling with fear hence transparency and accountability were non-existent and manipulation and deception were triggered into action.
