Former President Kufuor urged to resolve factions in NPP

Agona Swedru, Feb 5, GNA – Mr Alfred Bossman, a New Patriotic Party member, has added his voice to calls on the former President John Agyekum Kufuor to resolve the problem between Mr Alan Kyeremanten and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the 2008 presidential candidate of the party. He said if immediate steps were not taken by the former President and the Council of Elders to resolve the problem, it could cause problems for the party in the 2012 election.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Agona Swedru on Thursday, Mr Bossman said the party stood a chance of wrestling power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the next election.

He said intervention from former President Kufuor would go a long way to improve the organization of the party at the grassroots, constituency, Regional and National levels.

Mr Bossman said the popularity of Nana Akufo-Addo and Mr Kyeremanten must not be a nightmare for the NPP but rather it should brighten the fortunes of the party. 5 Feb. 10
