Mr Gabriel Asaana, former Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on delegates to elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the party’s flag bearer because he is not only marketable but also a visionary.
He said the presidential aspirant was a peace-maker, popular, having held ministerial appointments under ex-President Agyekum Kufuor with a proven record.
Mr Asaana said a statement on Tuesday that “Nana’s clean record of seven years of service in sensitive ministries plus his knowledge in French and German makes him to stand tall among his fellow contestants when it comes to international relations.”
He said the presidential aspirant’s vision to implement free education was still relevant and added that `the age factor against him did not hold but his exposure, competence, honesty makes him an ideal person.
Mr Asaana said with the support of Dr Mohammadu Bawumia, Nana Akufo-Addo could salvage the economy from total collapse.
