Former NDC TEIN Leader to contest Ludwig

Mr Sidii Abubakar Musah, former Vice President of the Tertiary Institutions Network (TEIN) of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has picked a nomination form to vie for the position of National Youth Organiser of the party.

Mr Musah, is competing with Mr Ludwig Akpene Hlodze, the incumbent National Youth Organiser.

Mr Musah who is currently the President of TEIN was accompanied by a number of the youth to pick his nomination form at the party headquarters in Accra.

He noted that the Ghana National Youth Policy is a brilliant document but has waited too long to be implemented.

“A cursory look at the document reveals wonderful proposals some of which includes: the establishment of a national youth week where a forum would be organised to deliberate on topical national issues.

“As the largest segment of any political organisation, the youth’s voice must not only be strong and loud but it must also be heard and considered,” he said.

In accomplishing his goals for the youth he seeks to establish a periodic capacity training to improve the organisational skills of youth leaders.

Mr Musah said he hopes to establish an annual regional youth forum which would serve as a platform for the youth to share ideas.

He said networking at the various levels of the party structure would escalate grassroots participation in decision making in the running of the youth office.

“My mission in this manifesto is to re-define a new purpose for the position of the National Youth Organiser of the NDC party, one that will serve the generality of the youth of Ghana and will make the youth front of the party formidable.

“It is time to get a new brand of leadership with a well set out agenda, ready to mobilise, network, coordinate and centralise all the best minds who will create and embrace new concepts,” he said.
