Former Deputy Minister mocked for miniature police post

A former Deputy Central Regional Minister Mrs. Queenstar Pokuaa Sawyer, has become a subject of mockery on various social media platforms after an image of a police post she constructed for one of the communities in the Agona East constituency went viral.

Mrs. Queenstar Pokuaa Sawyer, who is also the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Agona East Constituency according to sources, constructed the facility prior to the 2016 general elections for the police aimed at intensifying patrols.

The structure which is not complete because there are no louver blades fitted though has some burglar proof, has her portrait boldly embossed with the inscription “Police Post Donated by MP Hon Queenstar Pokuaa Sawyer” on three sides of the structure.

It is not certain how the picture found its way onto social media but it has become a subject of discussion with some trolling the lawmaker wondering if indeed he committed resources to construct such a structure.

“Was he constructing a billboard or a police post, I can’t think far”, someone commented on the image.
