Former Dangme East District Executive Denies Amassing Wealth

Ada Foah, — 11 June Ex-Warrant Officer Class one, Justice Kwame Caesar, Dangme East district chief executive said yesterday that he was ready for a probe into rumours that he had used his position to illegally amass wealth. He told the Dangme East District Assembly that rumours and anonymous letters were circulating that he has built a number of houses, owes a fleet of cars and 10 ten kraals. He said he is also accused of dodging tax. “I have not built a house, but I now intend to do so, I would have built my house long ago but some of us have decided to sacrifice a little for the district”. Mr. Caesar, in a bid to prove his innocence about the charges, told the house that any of them who knew about any of his alleged assets should say it, but none said anything. Only Mr. Albert Apertorgbor, assemblyman for Kasseh electoral area, said he had also heard the rumours but has no basis to believe it.
