Form neighbourhood watchdog committees -Advises assemblyman

Bedabour (Ash), June 28, GNA – Mr Amidu Yakubu, assemblyman for Bedabour in the Atwima district of Ashanti has asked people in the electoral area to form neighbourhood watchdog committees to combat rape, armed robbery and ritual murders in the area.

He also advised parents to escort their children who walk long distances to and from school to avoid being attacked by rapist and ritual murderers.

Mr Yakubu was addressing a ‘Meet The People’ forum he organised for his electoral area on Sunday to discuss issues affecting the communities and how to solve them at Bedabour. The assemblyman called on the unit committees to report any suspicious movements by strangers to the security agencies. He, however, cautioned the people not to take the law into their own hands and beat or molest any suspect.

Mr Yakubu appealed to the people to patronise the National Health Insurance Scheme to improve upon their health status.
