‘Forever Group’ congratulates Mills

A pressure group within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) calling itself ‘Atta Mills forever group’ has pat on the back of the flagbearer of the party, Professor John Evans Atta Mills for choosing the Member of parliament for Bole Bamboi constituency, John Dramani Mahama as his running mate.

In a statement issued and signed on behalf of the group by its National organiser, James Kwaku Effisah last Friday, it called on John Mahama to show evidence of the trust reposed in him by the flagbearer by exhibiting eminence of the good leadership qualities he had shown in past and recent times. The statement said a good leader must be someone who is ready to listen, serve his people and genuinely respond to criticisms from party activists and other sympathizers. It further said the NDC knows John Mahama to be a humble and honest man who discharges his duties effectively hence his partnership with the legal Professor would propel the NDC to victory in this year’s general elections.

With regards to party activists who as a result of Prof.Mills’s choice had got peeved to bury all differences and support the party by embarking on vigorous campaign programmes. In a related development, the eastern regional organizer of the party, Bismark Tawiah Boateng in an interview asked all party members to respect the flagbearer’s decision of picking John Mahama as his running mate. According to him the party’s constitution only makes provision for the flagbearer to choose his running mate therefore every individual must rally behind Atta Mills.
