Foreign Minister back from Cuba

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, returned home on Tuesday after a nine-day official visit to Cuba.

He was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr Moses Dani Baah and other officials.

They include, Mr Kwesi Abeasi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Mrs Genevive Tsegah, a Director for Economic, Trade and Investment at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr D. Asiedu, an adviser at the Bank of Ghana.

Mr Owusu-Agyeman said the Cuban Government has decided to assist Ghana with boxing coaches as a way of boosting sports in the country.

He also held discussions with President Fidel Castro who extended an invitation to President Kufuor to visit Cuba.
