Foreign aid must not cripple us – Nana Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo seems to be very committed to ensuring that Ghana is not shortchanged when it comes to issues of foreign aid.

In an address at the 4th Rotary international district conference in Accra, the president revealed that government will rather be considering entering into value for money partnerships.

“We must not rely on long term aid programme. There must be an exit programme. It is not enough to get help to feed family,” the president revealed.

The concern raised by the president follow government’s earlier resolve to go for trade and aid. Meanhwile, YEN gathers that various international donors are rather considering cutting aid to Ghana following the country’s advancement from lower to middle-lower income.
