Former President Nana Akufo-Addo and his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, led a delegation of dignitaries to the residence of the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings to offer condolences.
The visit follows the passing of the former First Lady on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Medical Hospital at the age of 76.
The condolence visit included prominent former appointees such as the former Chief of Staff, former Ministers for Defence, Interior, Transport, and Lands, as well as Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere-Darko, and Member of Parliament for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor.
Former President Akufo Addo also signed the book of condolence, paying tribute to Nana Konadu’s legacy as a pioneer of women’s rights.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was remembered for her activism and determination in advancing women’s rights through the 31st December Women’s Movement, which she founded.
