Food joint operator arrested for illegal water connection

Ho, July 6, GNA – Police in Ho on Wednesday arrested one Victor Addai, a food joint operator for illegal water connection. Addai used a flexible hose to tap water from behind the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) metre, to his house into a well from which the household draws water without paying any bills.

A team from the Loss Control Department of GWCL, led by its head, Mr George Reagan Adanu, detected the illegal connection during a routine inspection. Addai who initially denied the offence later pleaded for leniency.
