Flying debris kills welder.

Tarkwa, March 9, GNA – A 28-year-old welder, James Cudjoe, died when debris from an exploded compressor machine hit him in the head at Tarkwa. Briefing the Ghana News Agency (GNA) an eye witness, John Boadu, said the deceased was working in the premises of Western Transport Services at Akyempim near Tarkwa last Friday when an explosion was heard from a nearby vulcanising shop.

He said several pieces of metal started flew towards their direction and one hit Cudjoe in the head, spilling of parts of his brain. A police source at the Tarkwa Divisional Police confirmed the incident and said investigations were ongoing. 09 March 10
