Flashback: When all seemed okay with the NDC

Barely four months ago, all seemed well with the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) as they warmed themselves to the 7th December 2016 general elections.

The NDC publicly showed a united front with the party confident of winning a first round victory due to the many projects that had been executed across the country in the first term of the John Mahama administration.

But at the end of the polls, the NDC lost miserably to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Akufo-Addo beat the incumbent John Mahama with nearly a million votes to win the presidency with the NPP also having almost an absolute majority in Parliament after snatching several seats from the NDC.

Even as the Prof. Kwasi Botchway Committee investigating the party’s shameful defeat continues with its work, senior members of the NDC have in the past few days publicy traded accusations against each other.
