Suhum, Oct. 24, GNA – Five people died, three on the spot and two others at the Suhum Government Hospital, when a vehicle in which they were travelling from Accra to Kumasi crashed into a stationary articulated truck at Okorase, near Suhum in the Eastern Region on Saturday.

Sixteen of the passengers were admitted at the hospital, while the driver escaped unhurt. One of the deceased had been identified as Issifu Alhassan, a 40-year-old watchman at the National Investment Bank (NIB) at Tema.

The remaining bodies, which were yet to be identified, have been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary. The police have, therefore, appealed to the general public to contact the Suhum Government hospital for identification of the dead bodies.
