Five Ivorians killed in Ghana

Five Ivorians fleeing from the violence in the Ivory Coast were killed early Saturday morning at Agona Nkwanta in the eastern region when the vehicle they were traveling in was involved in a head-on collision.

According local Police, the crash occured at about 5 a.m. when the driver of the vehicle carrying the Ivorians, pulled out to pass another vehicle and run into the path of an oncoming bus. The police says the Ivorian driver and four of his passengers were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Eight injured victims were taken to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, were they remain in critical condition.
