Five died in accident at Tikobo No.1

Half Assini (W/R), July 1, GNA – Three people died on the spot and two others on arrival at the Half Assini Government Hospital when a taxi cab on which they travelling was involved in an accident near Tikobo No. 1 on Thursday.

Two of the four persons who were taken to the hospital are responding to treatment.

According to the Tikobo No. 01 Police, one of the dead has been identified as Tayi Ndede, the driver of the taxi from Allowuley in the Jomoro District but the rest are yet to be identified.

The police said the taxi was travelling from Tikobo No. 01 at about 2000 hours when it collided with a heavy duty truck at Kpokezo.

Dr Blaychie Anan, a physician at the hospital, told the Ghana News Agency at the hospital that Mr Kwame Mensah from Allowuley was in stable condition but one woman was in a comma.
