Five Die Near Nkawkaw As Yutong Bus Veers Off Into Bush

Five persons died on the spot at Nkawanda Number Two, near Nkawkaw, when their 48-seater Yutong bus with registration number GC 5143 Z, veered off the road into the bush early Tuesday morning.

The dead are three females and two males aged between 30 and 40 and are yet to be identified.

Other passengers, including the driver, who got injured were treated and discharged at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Kwahu Government Hospital mortuary at Atibie.

The bus was travelling from Accra to Techiman in the Brong-Ahafo Region.

According Chief Inspector, Osei Bonsu, the Station Officer in-charge of the Nkawkaw Motor Traffic Transport Unit the bus being driven by

Kwame Ansong veered off the road and landed on its side.
