Five Community Clinics Receive medical equipments

Akyempim(W/R), Feb. 18, GNA – The Golden Star Wassa Mine has donated=

hospital equipments worth 400,000 dollars to five community clinics and t= he Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital at Sekondi. The beneficiary community clinics are Atieku, Mpohor, Benso, Akyempi= m and Nsagyeso, all operating within the area of the mine.

Presenting the equipments, Mr. Henry Tandoh, Mining Manager of Golde= n Star said the donation was to help the clinics meet the health needs of t= he people. The items which included hospital beds, screens, baby cots, disinfectants among others, formed part of the companies corporate social=

responsibility towards the provision of affordable health care in the are= a. Dr Bob Sagoe, Deputy Director of Health Services, commended the management of the company for the donation. He appealed to the beneficiary communities to ensure periodic maintenance and proper use.
