First Private Airline Sack Ghanaian Executives

Accra, (Greater Accra) 14 Sept.,

The Board of Directors of ‘Mframa’ Airlines Limited has at an emergency meeting, asked for the suspension of termination of appointment of all key Ghanaian personnel and other workers of the company. In a statement issued in Accra today, the Board has requested Mr. Viatcheslav Kolojvari, the company’s Managing Director, who took the “unilateral” decision, to offer justification for his action. Mr. Kolojvari is to maintain all the Ghanaian workers at post until a board meeting scheduled for next October 24, considers what further action to take to resolve the matter. According to the statement, the Managing Director took up appointment last June following a joint venture between Mframa, operators of Golden Airways, Ghana’s first private airlines, and Savropol Joint Stock Airlines of the Russian Federation.
