First Lady lauds women for contributing immensely to education in Ghana

Ghana’s First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has commended Ghanaian women for their immense contribution to the development of education in Ghana.

According to her many schools that have seen massive infrastructural and academic development have mostly been headed by women who have shown strong will and the desire to achieve.

Mrs. Akufo Addo who was speaking in relation to the massive development at Ridge church school commended the school for initiating steps to begin a Senior High School.

This was at the school’s 60th anniversary and speech and prize giving day.

The Ridge Church School which was established some 60 years ago has for many years been headed by women.

The school which started with a single storey now has many storeys with multiple floors.

This the first lady says is evidence of the vision of leadership in women.

Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo said the Ridge Church School has contributed immensely to the development of the country by producing astute citizens with discipline and value.

A guest speaker and lecturer at the Cape Coast University, Dr. bemaoned d fallen standard of English in d country.
