The Tamale Youth Association has formed a fire volunteer squad to assist the Ghana National Fire Serivce in the discharge of its duties. Inaugurating the 40 member squad in Tamale, the Northern Regional Fire Officer, M. Timothy Arthur, appealed to traditional rulers and Dsitrict Assemblies to get involved in the activities of volunteer squards in their ares by providing them with moreale-boosting incentives. He said to organise people for the Fire Service to train as a ready body of volunteer during fire on, Dr. Baba Sampana, appeaaled to the five service to make full use of the volunteers.
