Fire Service to school people on use of fire extinguishers

Winneba (C/R), March 6, GNA – The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), is instituting measures to train private and public institutions on the effective handling of fire extinguishers to help combat fire outbreaks. The Eastern Regional Fire Officer, Mr Bartholomew Nketsiah who made this known to the Ghana News Agency in Winneba, said the GNFS was drafting a programme to educate workers on fire safety measures. He said recent fire outbreaks in the country, brings to the fore, the need for individual consciousness about such disasters. Mr Nketsiah said it was mandatory for every building to be re-wired after 20 years. 6 March 10
