Fire razes 3 filling stations at B/A in 24 hours

Barely a week after a Goil Filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah was razed down by fire killing over 150 people , there have been reports of similar incidents at Sampa, Drobo and Kintampo, all in the Bono Ahafo Region.

The Drobo incident happened Wednesday while that of Sampa and Kintampo happened simultaneously on Thursday afternoon.

According to a reporter of Moonlite FM, partners of Atinka FM, Nana Poku, several residents in the three areas ran for cover during the incidents due to the deadly incident that happened in Accra a week ago .

At sampa, some of the residents managed to douse the flames, using buckets of water while parked cars were immediately evacuated before the arrival of the Fire Service, Nana Poku reported.

All the three filling stations have totally been razed down but no death has been recorded so far.

One of the filling stations is run by “Malians” or “Gawu Gawu” people as many Ghanaians prefer to call them.

It is not clear what caused the fire outbreaks in the three areas.
