Fire guts Abossey Okai warehouse

Properties worth thousands of cedis were destroyed in a fire outbreak in Abossey Okai Accra on Wednesday morning.

The fire gutted properties, which serve as a warehouse for spare parts dealers and a residential facility.

Some of the tenants who spoke to XYZ News said they suspect an electrical fault ignited the fire.

An Assistant Fire Officer with the Ghana National Fire Service told XYZ News the cause of the fire outbreak will be investigated thoroughly.

He was unable to tell how long the investigation will take but stated that the service will ensure that the necessary investigations are done to found out if it was arson.
